Since his debut in the Musikverein Vienna in 2008 he has been invited to perform there regularly in chamber music concerts and festivals. His chamber music partners include renowned musicians such as Ernst Ottensamer, Wolfgang Schulz, Hansjörg Schellenberger, Franz Bartolomey, Volkhard Steude, Heinz Zednik, Bo Skovhus, Angelika Kirchschlager, as well as the chamber music formations “The Philharmonics” and the “Baole-Quintet”.
Christoph Traxler was born in 1983 in Linz, and studied at the University for Music and performing Arts in Vienna with Heinz Medijimorec and Stefan Arnold. He has emerged as a prizewinner at many competitions, such as the “International Lions European Music Competition” for piano in Bucharest (Rumania) 2007, the International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition 2000 as well as the “Gradus ad Parnassum” Competition in 2006.

Since his debut in the Musikverein Vienna in 2008 he has been invited to perform there regularly in chamber music concerts and festivals. His chamber music partners include renowned musicians such as Ernst Ottensamer, Wolfgang Schulz, Hansjörg Schellenberger, Franz Bartolomey, Volkhard Steude, Heinz Zednik, Bo Skovhus, Angelika Kirchschlager, as well as the chamber music formations “The Philharmonics” and the “Baole-Quintet”.

As a soloist with orchestra Christoph Traxler first performed the a-minor Concerto by Robert Schumann in 2000. Since then he has been regularly invited to perform as a soloist with orchestras such as the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Philharmonic, the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra, the Ensemble “WienKlang”, the Concilium Musicum Vienna, the Vienna Virtuosi as well as the Symphony Orchestra Kaposvar. He has played under the baton of conductors such as Manfred Honeck, Stefan Vladar, Christoph Angerer, Azis Sadikovic and Claudius Traunfellner.

He has performed in the major concert halls of Austria, such as the Brucknerhaus Linz, the Musikverein Vienna, the Vienna Konzerthaus, as well as the Musikverein Graz. He has further performed on concert tours leading him throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the United States of America.
